My family migrated to Australia when I was 4 years old so my Italian language skills are scratchy to say the least, but when it comes to music, it is another matter. I am a cross-culture kid, with one foot in the western popular music of my generation and the other in a European culture. The sound of the piano accordion has always moved me profoundly, my father and uncles played Italian folk songs on their huge accordions, and my aunt Connie sang with such a passion, it inspired me to remember the sounds of those memories & find my own expression of my past. Thank you to all who encouraged me.
